How to Fix Overwatch 2 Connection Issues
Try these steps while waiting for servers to recover.
01
Check Blizzard Server Status
Visit us.battle.net/support/en/article/76459 for official Overwatch 2 server status, or follow @BlizzardCS on Twitter.
02
Restart the Battle.net app
Close Battle.net from the system tray (right-click → Exit), then relaunch and try again.
03
Reset your network
Power cycle your router and modem for 30 seconds. Many BN-related errors are caused by stale network connections.
04
Scan & Repair game files
In Battle.net: click Overwatch 2 → Options → Scan and Repair. This checks all files for corruption.
05
Check NAT type
Overwatch requires an Open NAT to function properly. Enable UPnP on your router or manually forward ports 1119 (TCP/UDP) and 3724 (TCP).
06
Disable proxy settings
Go to Battle.net Settings → Network → and make sure "Use a Proxy" is unchecked. Proxy settings frequently cause connection failures.
Upgrade your connection
A gaming router cuts lag and drops significantly.
